Quest Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough 'Pizza'!!

Recently, Chocolate Chip Cookies are my biggest guilty pleasure!! I just had to find a recipe to curb my cravings for them and I think this SIX INCH cookie did just the trick!!!

Ingredients:
- 1 Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Quest Bar

*Topping Ideas*
- Nut Butter
- Oatmeal
- Greek Yogurt
- Raw Cacao
- Chocolate Shakeology
- Chopped Nuts
- Shredded Coconut
- Cinnamon
- Granola
- Dark Chocolate Chips
- Quest Peanut Butter Cup (Chopped)

Here's how I made mine:
Preheat your oven to 400°F. Place the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Quest Bar on a plate and microwave for 10 seconds. Use clean hands to fold the Quest Bar in half, and form into a circle. Your 'Pizza Dough' should be 5 to 6 inches in diameter. On a non stick cookies sheet, place your 'Pizza Dough' in the oven for 5 minutes. (I used non stick Reynolds wrap for easy clean up.) Remove the now 'Pizza Crust' from the oven and place on a plate! Careful, it's hot!

Top it however you'd like.

I used Peanut Butter and Co White Chocolate a Wonderful Peanut Butter, followed by a a little plain Greek yogurt mixed with a little Chocolate Shakeology. (I would prefer vanilla Greek yogurt but I used what I had. If you don't have Shakeology, Raw Cacao would work as well.) I sprinkled a generous amount of cinnamon on top of my 'pizza sauce' followed by a small handful of uncooked oatmeal!

If you try this recipe, tag me in your post on Instagram! I'd love to see what you came up with!! I am totally going to be trying this pizza idea with other quest bars! Maybe the Peanut Butter and Jelly one with peanut butter and jelly on top?? Show me your healthy pizzas!!

Healthy Tacos!!

It's no secret that I love Mexican food! But it's also no secret that it is very very bad for me!! Well, these tacos are virtually clean and very healthy and protein packed!!

Ingredients:
- 1.25 lbs Ground Turkey
- 1 Green Bell Pepper Diced (Red works too)
- 1 can Low Sodium Corn (Drained and rinsed)
- 1 can Low Sodium Black Beans
- 2 cloves Garlic Minced
- Olive Oil
-1 Medium White Onion Diced
- 1 Packet Low Sodium Taco Seasoning
- 1 Avocado Diced
- Romaine Lettuce
- 2 Limes
- Greek Yogurt (Optional)
- Tortillas (Optional)

Over medium and high heat sauté the onions in 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil in a large at least 2 inch deep pan. After about 2 minutes add in corn and garlic and sauté for 2 more minutes. Add in the bell pepper. In a separate sauce pan warm up the black beans, turn off when a small simmer starts. Add in ground turkey and the taco seasoning packet to the onion, pepper, corn mixture. Stir and break up the turkey as it cooks. Cook for 5-7 minutes until a light simmer. Squeeze in the juice of 1 full lime. Strain the black beans and stir into turkey mixture.

Assembly time! If you opted for tortillas warm them up in the microwave or on the stove top. If you want to skip the extra calories use cups of romaine as your tortilla. Fill the cups/tortillas with your taco mixture and top with lettuce(skip if using lettuce cups), avocado, and squeeze some lime on top!

• Like sour cream on your tacos? Greek yogurt is a great option! You won't even know it's not sour cream!
• For an extra kick top with your favorite hot sauce! I used sriracha but Tabasco or any other is just fine!
• I also added some chipotle inspired  brown rice with lime and chipotle inside my tacos. Very simple recipe: Cook brown rice in a rice cooker, once it's done chop up some cilantro and squeeze the juice of 1 whole lime and mix in!

Simplest Overnight Oats!!

This is almost silly to post a blogpost about! Because it's that easy!! You can fancy it up however you'd please but this is my base oats! I use the small Nutribullet cup with the handle for easy eating and warm hands! I see lots of mason jars being used or bowls, but my hands would be too cold for that!!

Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 3/4 cup almond milk
- 1/4 - 1/2 tsp of cinnamon**

Combine all ingredients in your bowl or cup. Stir. Cover. Place in the fridge overnight! Seriously! It's that easy!

** Cinnamon is optional, I put it in because it's a great metabolism booster! A great way to kick start your morning!!!

Too plain? Try these.
- Mix in a tablespoon of peanut butter.
- Mix in some blueberries and half a banana chopped up.
- Have a berry oat-fest! Strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries!
- Use chocolate almond milk instead of regular almond milk! Add half a scoop of Chocolate Shakeology for extra healthy-ness!
- Throw in some vanilla bean for vanilla oats.
- Make a overnight oat superfood breakfast! Maca, Cacao, Chia seeds and  Acai are great options to add!

The possibilities are endless with this overnight oat recipe!! What are your overnight oat add ins??

Easy Oven Roasted Butternut Squash!

I've recently developed a love for butternut squash! It was in a salad I ordered from Purple Cafe (I believe it's a Seattle restaurant?) and I fell in love with the salad as well as the squash! Recipe for a inspired salad coming soon! It is a great side dish or salad topping!
Side note: Cutting this squash for the first time was terrifying! Turns out the amazing Byron Talbott has a super easy 'how to cut squash' video on YouTube! Look it up before you cut your fingers off!

Ingredients:
- 1 Butternut Squash peeled and cubed
- 2 tbs Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- A pinch of salt
- Black pepper

Preheat your oven to 400° F. Mix the butternut squash, EVOO, and garlic in a medium bowl. Spread out squash evenly on a baking sheet (I covered mine in tin foil for easy cleanup but if you don't I'd use a little spray oil so it doesn't stick.) Sprinkle with cinnamon if you choose to use it. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, squash should be tender and lightly browned (And smell AMAZING!!) Grind up some pepper and you are done!! If eating as a side dish I highly reccomend putting a few chopped walnuts in there!

Another sidenote: Pepper can easily burn at high temperatures so always use it after the cooking process!

Chocolate Coconut Chia Pudding!

Another chocolate craving cure! This one is almost too easy! I opted for coconut cream because it's been in my pantry and I love coconut cream! But if you don't like coconut you could totally swap for almond milk!

Ingredients:
- 1 can coconut cream
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 5 tbs chia seeds
- 1/2 to 2 tbs raw cacao powder
- 2 tsp agave nectar

Warm up coconut cream in a small sauce pan, mix in vanilla extract, cacao (in my picture I had only used 1/2 tbs cacao, it was really good but I want more chocolatey so just add how much you want!) and agave nectar. Once all combined take off heat and whisk in chia seeds. Stir until it starts to thicken. Then put in refrigerator over night! (If using almond milk you can skip the warming stage of this! Just put it in the refridgerator after well mixed.) Bam! Done, and it took 5 minutes! Also, you could totally serve it warm!

Who says you can't have cake??

I'm not sure who said cake wasn't okay when eating clean or on a weightless journey, but I for one, think a little mug cake is totally okay! Especially when it's as clean as this one!! It's no secret (or maybe it is) that I do not like the vanilla shakeology.. Well it's getting close to aunt flows visit and I was just craving chocolate.... But I also was on my last scoop of chocolate shakeology (until my bag arrives this week). I found tons of chocolate shakeology mug cake recipes on Google, but I didn't have all the ingredients for any of them... So I kind of combined a few of them into my own recipe!

Ingredients:
- 1 scoop Vanilla Shakeology
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tbs raw cacao powder
- 1 egg white
- 3 tbs almond milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp agave nectar
- 1 tbs dark chocolate chips
- 1 tsp peanut butter or almond butter
- 1/2 banana
- Spray coconut oil from Trader Joes

Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl with a fork. Add in all wet ingredients (except nut butter and banana) and mix thoroughly. Spray your mug with your coconut oil cooking spray. Pour half the "batter" into the mug. Spoon in 1 tsp of your nut butter and top with the rest of the batter. Put mug in the microwave for 90 seconds. Eat in the mug or plop it on a plate and decorate it.. Because the prettier the tastier right?? ;) I topped with 1/2 a banana and a few chocolate chips. (I also made a "frosting" with a little almond milk and powdered peanut butter from Just Great Things but I wouldn't put that on again). Enjoy this deliciousness of a mug cake!!

Welcome to Frilly and Fit!!

Hi! My name is Emma, I'm a 23 year old waitress from Bellevue, Washington! In 2013 I lost 20 lbs with combined efforts from a 2 month vegan diet (I could eat whatever I wanted as long as it was vegan), getting in the kitchen more, eating cleaner options, going on long walks, starting focus t25, and drinking shakeology! My journey is just getting started! I am a bridesmaid in TWO July 2014 weddings and I am ready to feel amazing in my dresses at both of them!
